Denise filed for divorce from her husband of 25 years, 11 days after winning $1.3 million in the California lottery. She had hidden the win from her husband and attempted to use the win to “Take the Money and Run”, so to speak. Well sometimes you bite the bear and sometimes the bear bites you. The hidden prize came to light during the divorce and the judge ruled she had violated the state law regarding asset reporting in a divorce. The judge awarded ALL $1.3 million to her now ex-husband!

Ms. Adams was a 2-time winner of the New Jersey lottery for a grand total of $5,400,000. Unfortunately, Ms. Adams was, as she once told a reporter, “A big time gambler.” Today she’s broke, living in a trailer and a leading candidate for being the subject of a depressing, Bruce Springsteen ballad.
