Wyoming Lottery
Wyoming became the 46th state to join America’s lottery family, and today residents can buy both Powerball and Mega Millions tickets. So, Cowboy State residents no longer need to travel out to neighboring Colorado to buy their lottery tickets.
The WyoLotto started just a few short years ago in 2014, with the first ticket sold to a prize winner in Sheridan. Besides buying the first lottery ticket in the state, the 67-year-old grandmother also won a Jeep Wrangler. Another 8 regional winners struck it lucky with the Launch Day Giveaway, pocketing a cash prize of $1,000 and 12 months’ worth of Mega Million tickets.
To date, hundreds of retailers in Wyoming sell Mega Millions and Powerball tickets. From March 2021, 2by2 will be available as the first daily draw game from the Wyoming Lottery. WyoLotto has made it easy to keep up with the latest lottery-related news, too, with six social media pages for players to follow. On March 15, 2015, the lottery gave residents the chance to win a horse in celebration of the first in-state lottery game.
